Know your "Avon Store" and your Customers.


Your Avon Brochure is like a department store. When you invite your Customers in for a visit, make sure to guide them through. By using demos, samples and conversation, you can bring the pages of your "Avon Store" to life!

To sell more, plan ahead by studying the brochure for the upcoming campaign. Educate yourself on the key brochure sections: the front cover, center, back section and back cover. Be prepared with key products on hand to show and excite your Customers. Plan ahead: make sure you know what you're going to sell in the next campaign. Take advantage of your Customer knowledge, and strategize which products and deals are right for each Customer. Finally, set a goal: challenge yourself to sell more!

Want to give your Customers the luxury of the "personal shopper" experience? Here's how:

  • Observe Customer likes: "I noticed you like this color palette. This eyeliner will make your whole look pop—I can add it to your order."
  • Track shipping patterns: "You purchased your skin care regimen several weeks ago; let's replenish your supply. Here are some targeted treatments you might like to add."
  • Ask questions to establish follow-up and relationships: "How do you like your purchases? I've picked out some products from our next campaign that I know you'll love."

The Avon Brochure is designed to help you sell. Once you know how it's organized, you can walk your Customers through with ease. Let this "store map" be your guide.

  1. Welcome them … The front cover invites Customers to experience the big campaign story, whether it's about new products, holiday promotions or a seasonal theme. Then the front section promotes the story with enticing smart-value offers.
  2. Walk them through … The center section showcases our product departments, plus you'll find a show-stopping offer on the center spread. Each department offers smart-value products and opportunities for selling entire collections. You can show and sell more by suggesting accessories and jewelry to match a dress your Customer likes; promoting fragrance layering when she is buying her favorite fragrance; thinking skin care regimens and explaining how the products work together for the optimal effect; and by giving samples and personal testimonials.
  3. Before they leave … The back section has value-driven items for perfect add-ons and follow-up opportunities, so tell your Customers to take advantage of the savings. The back cover features quick and easy purchases from our key brands, including door openers, add-ons and impulse buys. Show the back cover when you want to attract new Customers, or close an order.
